Voice Your Opinion on Snow Removal

Snow TruckMany Greenbrier residents have expressed a concern with the state of our neighborhood streets this winter.  GRA President Marianna Marye has contacted the office of our district Council Member, Ed Lane regarding the situation. Currently Bahama is the only street in Greenbrier that is on the “Priority” plowing list. Many cul-de-sacs can not be plowed by the county trucks because of the large turning radius and potential liability issues.
Marianna reports that Mr. Lane is compiling a list of comments to forward to the agency responsible for snow plow operation.  You may leave a message at any time day or night at the following number:  (859) 258-3221.
Members of the Board suggest that residents make a coordinated effort to have the Marquesas-Antilles-Antigua loops added to the “Priority” plowing list.  A suggest comment is:

“Thanks for making Bahama a priority.  Bahama is very important in our neighborhood.  I wish you would plow my street, but if not please plow the Marquesas-Antilles-Antigua loop”.

An investigation on the feasibility of hiring a private contractor to plow other streets is underway.
